By November 15, 2024Insurance

Effective January 1, 2025 the Minimum Auto Liability Limits in CA with be increasing from $15,000 per Person Injury $30,000 Per Accident Injury $5,000 Property Damage to $30,000 Per Person Injury, $60,000 Per Accident Injury and $15,000 Property Damage.

Senate Bill 1107 raises the state of California minimum limits in 2025 providing more coverage for California drivers.

Why the Change? California minimum liability limits haven’t changed in over 50 years. Rising costs make current limits inadequate leaving many drivers in financial risk. While these limits are an improvement, our agency feels they are still inadequate and recommend a minimum of $100,000/$300,000/$100,000. If you are a homer owner or have assets we recommend purchasing higher limits with an excess umbrella to assure you are properly protected and your assets are not exposed.

The Benefits of higher liability limits are;

  • Better Protection in Accidents
  • Reduced Financial Risk
  • Peace of Mind
